Non-JWU Students - How to Apply

Johnson & Wales University is pleased to open select programs to students at other academic institutions. Non-JWU students participating in these programs will be joining Johnson & Wales University peers to share in a collaborative learning environment abroad. We welcome you to consider these dynamic and challenging programs for part of your academic career.

PROGRAMS CURRENTLY OPEN TO NON-JWU STUDENTS: Apply on-line
  1. From the program information page, click “Apply Now”.  You will be guided to create a study abroad account in order to manage your electronic application.
  2. Your temporary username and password will be emailed to you.
  3. To continue with your application, access your new study abroad account at studyabroad.jwu.edu by clicking “Non-JWU Login/Register.”
  4. You will be requested to submit identity authentication paperwork to JWU Study Abroad in order to use the digital signatures required to complete the application.
JWU Student Status
Upon acceptance into a study abroad program, you will become a non-matriculating JWU student until the end date of the study abroad program. Study Abroad will provide instructions regarding your new JWU student identification number and how to set up your JWU student account in the JWU student portal called JWULink.

JWULink is Your JWU Student Portal
In addition to your study abroad account, you will have access to the Johnson & Wales University student portal called JWULink.  Through this site you will be able to manage the following steps:
  1. Update your current contact and emergency information.
  2. Register for your study abroad classes.
  3. Track your JWU invoicing and bill payment.
  4. Request a transcript.
Continue to Manage Your Study Abroad Account
After your acceptance onto a study abroad program, there are many study abroad general and program-specific pre-departure requirements you are responsible to complete.

Your studyabroad.jwu.edu account login process will change to match your new JWULink login credentials. When accessing your study abroad account you will now use “Login/Register” along with your new JWU username and pin instead of the “Non-JWU Login/Register.”

JWU Email
All communications related to your study abroad application and program updates, as well as all JWU financial communications, will come through your JWU email.  Please monitor it carefully.  We suggest you set it up to automatically forward to the email account you use daily.
